ADP has worked on most types of building in the past. Therefore when we were asked to design an interior for a social enterprise catering kitchen and café in an historic monument we gladly accepted the challenge. Yellow Kite Café is situated in Southsea Castle, Portsmouth and is a Scheduled Monument building, commissioned and built by Henry VIII almost five hundred years ago.
ADP is required to produce detailed drawings and specifications for all aspects of the design for agreement by English Heritage as well as Building Control. “The proposals have the potential to enhance the historic character of this part of the castle, and correct a number of unwelcome post-war alterations” Dr Richard Massey, English Heritage
